I have a heavy heart today. My mom has left this earth for a better place.
She was just shy of 90 years on this earth. She had a zest for living that sometimes I found difficult to fathom. Even through some pretty tough years, she was a fighter.
I lived away from mom for about 30 years, but moved back to my home state 9 years ago and am glad I had those years to spend with my mom. We were able to catch up on those lost years.
Mom was so proud of my beautiful quilts, pillows and other quilted items and she loved to watch me knit and create something from string. Mom couldn't do any of those things. She used to tell everyone that would listen about the work I did and she was my best cheerleader in telling me to have patience with my Etsy shop.
I will miss her terribly. Even though I was just with her a couple weeks ago, I am not ready for her be gone.
May you rest in the arms of our loving God and I will see you again. Till then, I love you and will miss you mom!
I am sorry to hear of your loss. Your Mom had a long life, and it sounds as though she enjoyed it. I imagine being your best cheerleader gave her a lot of joy.
ReplyDeleteNo matter how old our moms are when they leave us, they are so much a part of us that they're always with us. I can imagine you quilting or knitting away, and thinking of her cheering you on. (((HUGS)))
